NHRC trains social welfare officers on mainstreaming of human rights in SGBV management

Nigeria’s human rights agency has commenced a three days’ capacity building workshop for social welfare officers. The training is for officers on the coordinating care management for sexual and gender-based violence survivors. According to the Nigeria’s chief Human Rights Officer, Barrister Tony Ojukwu, the training is aimed at mainstreaming human rights based approaches to the (SGBV) intervention response and setting standard for compassionate care for survivors.
