CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM THE MINORITY CAUCUS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON THE DEMISE OF HON. GHALI UMAR NA’ABBA, CFR

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we extend our sincere condolences on the passing of Ghali Umar Na’Abba, CFR, the 8th Speaker of the House of Representatives. Our hearts go out to his family, the good people of Kano State and our beloved Nation.

His contributions to our nation were invaluable, and his legacy as a courageous statesman and dedicated public servant will forever be etched in the annals of our democratic history.

Hon. Na’Abba’s leadership was marked by a commitment to the principles of democracy, transparency, accountability, and the rule of law. His tireless efforts in advancing the interests of the Nigerian people were evident throughout his tenure. He also fought all forms of interference in legislative functions, leaving an indelible impact on the institution he served with distinction.

As we mourn the loss of a visionary leader, let us also celebrate the enduring spirit of service (and dedication that) Speaker Na’Abba embodied. May his family find solace in the knowledge that his legacy will continue to inspire generations of public servants to come.

In this moment of grief, let us unite in honouring the memory of Ghali Umar Na’Abba and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals that he so passionately championed.

One amongst several people-oriented actions of Gali Na’Abba was the passage of the NDDC Act by veto even where he had a Pewsident of the same political party with him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, Amen.
