Governor of Niger State, Umar Bago, has approved N80,000 as the new minimum wage for civil servants in the state.
According to a statement released on his X, Bago gave the approval during a meeting with organised labour in Minna the State capital.
Mr. Bago said, “In our own magnanimity as a state government, we have decided to adopt the minimum wage of N80,000 (Eighty Thousand Naira).”

On Wednesday, Umo Eno, governor of Akwa Ibom, announced a new minimum wage of N80,000 for civil servants in the state.
The governor constituted a 15-member implementation committee that will provide a report on how the wage should be executed.
