The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC has decorated 206 newly promoted officers in Kogi State.
Speaking at the event, the Kogi State Commandant of NSCDC Akinlade Esther, charged the newly promoted officers to double their efforts in protecting the nation’s critical assets and ensure they sustain the fight against crimes and criminalities in the country.
Akinlade reminded the officers that their elevation to a new rank is a call for greater service in Nigeria, adding that NSCDC under her command will ensure that Kogi State is not a breeding ground for criminals.

She commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the Commandant General of NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi for revitalizing and transforming the Corps into a beacon of success
“It is essential to recognize that human capital working within any organization is pivotal to achieving its mandates. It is often emphasized that organizational success hinges on dedicated personnel.
“Consequently, acknowledging and promoting deserving individuals in a timely manner is crucial to prevent the risk of retaining a disheartened workforce that may not fully align with the standards and objectives of the Corps.
“It is imperative to note that promotion doesn’t emanate from north, south, east nor west but from God and, however, usually comes along with a great responsibility which heightens the higher level of loyalty, courage, discipline, and professionalism particularly in the face of evolving and intricate challenges posed by modern-day crime,” Akinlade added.
Military and paramilitary officers including traditional rulers who witnessed the ceremony charged the officers to double their efforts in combating insecurity in the Country.
The newly promoted officers consist of 15 Deputy Commandants, 13 Assistant Commandants, 24 Chief Superintendents, 25 Superintendent, 42, Deputy Superintendent, 43 Assistant Superintendent 1 and 43 Assistant Superintendent 2.
Six Deputy Commandant of the Corps were promoted to the rank of Commandant from Kogi State.
