The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration (NAFDAC) says it has seized counterfeit agrochemicals worth ₦5 million in Bauchi.
According to a statement shared by the agency on its Facebook handle, the seizures followed intelligence obtained by the agency.

The counterfeit products seized is know as “Patriarc.”
The statement says three facilities were shutdown in the operation and owners arrested .

NAFDAC Seizes Counterfeit Agrochemicals in Bauchi Raid
NAFDAC has conducted a successful raid on agrochemical sellers in Bauchi Metropolis, following intelligence reports on the circulation of a counterfeit product known as “Patriarc.”
The operation led to the sealing of three facilities, the arrest of their owners, and the confiscation of counterfeit products valued at 5 million naira. NAFDAC’s Investigation & Enforcement team is actively pursuing the importer or manufacturer responsible for these counterfeit goods.
The Agency underscores the importance of purchasing regulated products from genuine sources to prevent health and safety risks. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious products or activities to the nearest NAFDAC office to ensure swift regulatory action and uphold consumer safety.
