The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) the will end drug misused in Nigeria.

Announcing the development on her official Facebook Page, NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, says, the move will also safeguard public health.
Prof. Adeyeye also said the MoU is a step towards the attainment of national security. She said, illicit Drugs negatively impact the central nervous system leading to violence and other social issues.
She commended the NDLEA Chairman, Gen. Buba Maruwa, for his commitment to intelligence-sharing between both Agencies.
Gen. Maruwa praised the long-standing partnership between NAFDAC and NDLEA, stressing that their combined efforts are crucial for public safety. He called for a framework to enhance joint operations and intelligence sharing, underscoring the shared dedication to combating drug abuse and ensuring safe, approved consumables for citizens.
