The Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, (NAFDAC) has alerted Nigerians to watch out for fake brands of Imported wines.

The agency’s warning follows its sealing of another illegal wine factory in Lugbe -Abuja, in Nigeria’s capital city.
In a post shared on its official Facebook Page, NAFDAC, says the factory was producing fake imported wine brands. The production was already completed with preprinted date markings ready for market distribution.
According to the statement, the sealed factory was secretly being operated in a residential building in Lugba, Abuja.
NAFDAC says its enforcement team led by Pharm. Mohammed Shaba gained access to the property through legal means and found already-produced wine products and packaging materials. The suspect was absent during the raid, but NAFDAC has summoned them for further questioning.
