Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, recently visited India to meet with Kano students currently studying at various universities.
He held an engaging session with students at Sharda University in Delhi, where he expressed pride in their achievements. “It gave me great pleasure to see the students in excellent spirit and enthusiasm,” he said. Yusuf commended the students for their academic performance, noting that many had achieved outstanding results in their programs.
While some students have already completed their studies and returned to Nigeria, many others are in the final stages of their courses. Governor Yusuf expressed confidence that the students would contribute to the development of Kano upon their return. “I am confident that they will all go back home to contribute their quota to our state’s development,” he remarked.
During his visit, Governor Yusuf thanked the university management for their dedication to ensuring the well-being of Kano students. “We have to give special gratitude to the university management for ensuring that our children are well taken care of,” he added. The governor emphasized that Kano’s education policy would continue to prioritize opportunities for students both locally and internationally.
Governor Yusuf also highlighted the successful outcomes of the education program under the leadership of former Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. “Many products of this program are today occupying critical positions of governance in our government,” he noted. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making education a top priority, stressing that the state would remain a leader in educational development.
“We shall continue to heavily invest in education and make it a non-negotiable priority,” Governor Yusuf concluded. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring Kano thrives through education.
