The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a sharp attack on President Bola Tinubu, accusing his administration of exacerbating poverty and economic hardship across Nigeria.
Senator Adolphus Wabara, the Chairman of the PDP’s Board of Trustees, made these remarks during an emergency meeting in Abuja on Thursday.
Wabara expressed grave concern over the skyrocketing cost of living and poorly implemented economic reforms, which, according to him, have pushed millions of Nigerians into deeper poverty. He stated that the policies under President Tinubu’s leadership have worsened the situation for the average citizen, creating more inequality and hardship in the country.
Wabara further urged his party members to prioritize unity and collective progress over personal ambitions. He emphasized that internal divisions should not overshadow the party’s shared goal of a better and more prosperous Nigeria. The statement comes as the PDP prepares to strategize for the upcoming elections and strengthen its position amid growing dissatisfaction with the current government’s handling of the economy..
