Ex-Lawmaker, Bello Isa, Nominated for DG of Nasarawa Waste Management Agency

Governor Abdullahi Sule has nominated Mohammed Bello Isa, a former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, to serve as the new Director-General of the state’s Waste Management and Sanitation Agency.

The nomination, which is subject to approval by the State House of Assembly, was announced during a plenary session on Wednesday by Speaker Danladi Jatau, who read a letter from the Governor.

In the letter, Governor Sule praised Bello Isa for his integrity and dedication to the development of Nasarawa State. The Governor described him as a tested individual with a strong commitment to the state’s progress. Bello Isa, who represented the Uke/Karshi Constituency in the 6th Nasarawa State House of Assembly, was known for his advocacy for infrastructure development and environmental reforms.

Bello, the Government Secondary School Uke (UKOSA) graduate, will now bring his leadership experience to the role of Director-General. His background in public service and years of governance have prepared him for this position.

As Director-General, Bello Isa will be responsible for overseeing the Waste Management and Sanitation Agency’s efforts to improve waste disposal, sanitation, and public health across the state. The agency will focus on enhancing environmental sustainability and cleanliness in Nasarawa.

As part of the nomination process, Speaker Jatau instructed the Clerk of the House to collect thirty (30) copies of Bello Isa’s Curriculum Vitae by Monday, December 16, 2024, for further review before the Assembly votes on the confirmation.
