Saminu Ibrahim, the publisher of SINL Nigeria Online, has been honored with the 2024 NHRC Media Award.
The award was presented at a ceremony held on International Human Rights Day at the NHRC headquarters in Abuja.
The theme for the event was “Our rights, our future, right now,” highlighting the importance of human rights awareness.

International Human Rights Day commemorates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, observed annually on December 10 across the globe.
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, which started November 25, culminated in the award presentation event.
Ibrahim’s contributions to human rights advocacy through media earned him the prestigious recognition from the National Human Rights Commission.
The event was graced by officials, diplomats, and human rights advocates, underscoring the importance of media in social change.
Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue promoting human rights through his media platform.
