A new list of 9,532 land debtors in Abuja has been revealed, including prominent figures like Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, Samuel Ortom, and Aminu Tambuwal.

The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, made this disclosure. He highlighted that former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, owes N152 million for land in Asokoro. Additionally, former Benue Governor, Samuel Ortom, owes N950,000 for land in Bazango, and Senator Aminu Tambuwal owes N18 million for land in Carraway Dallas.

Olayinka posted the list on his Facebook page, emphasizing that the defaulters have two weeks to settle their bills. The FCTA has given them this grace period to avoid further actions, and several other notable figures are listed among the debtors.

Wike’s administration has been taking strong measures to address land allocation issues in Abuja. Recently, demolitions and land revocations have been carried out by the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA) under his leadership. These steps aim to recover debts and ensure compliance with land title regulations.

Olayinka urged all individuals on the list, particularly those owing large amounts, to settle their debts promptly to avoid legal repercussions and further action from the FCTA.
