The Senate has passed for second reading the bill sponsored by Senator Ibrahim for the establishment of a College of Education in Igbekebo, Ondo State

The proposed institution aims to address the growing need for well-trained and qualified teachers in Nigeria’s educational system.

The bill, which seeks to amend the Federal Colleges of Education Act, was introduced by Senator Ibrahim, who represents Ondo South. While presenting the lead debate, Senator Ibrahim emphasized the importance of expanding Colleges of Education to enhance the quality of education in the country. He highlighted that the establishment of the college will help tackle the challenges faced by the education sector by producing competent educators and improving the nation’s educational infrastructure.
