The Nigeria Police Force has successfully arrested robbery suspects in Lagos and Anambra ahead of the Yuletide season.

In Lagos, four suspects were apprehended for their involvement in a robbery syndicate operating around the Costain area.
The suspects, identified as Akeem Alabi, Adewale Sogbesan, Emmanuel Izeagbe, and Francis Okoko, are currently under police custody.
On December 6, 2024, police operatives in Anambra arrested an armed robbery suspect named Miracle Mwakaloi in Awka.
Mwakaloi led officers to his apartment, where they recovered three AK-47 rifles and other criminal evidence.
The arrests were part of the IGP’s directive for increased police presence and security measures during the festive season.
IGP Kayode Egbetokun emphasized the importance of safeguarding citizens’ lives and property during this period of increased mobility.
Police personnel have been deployed to key areas, including highways, major roads, and recreational centers, to deter criminal activity.
