Fresh Suit Seeks Tinubu’s Removal, Supreme Court to Rule Monday

The Supreme Court will rule on December 16 regarding a fresh suit seeking President Bola Tinubu’s removal from office.

The suit alleges Tinubu’s non-qualification to hold office and claims he usurped the presidential position unlawfully.

Filed by Chief Ambrose Albert Owuru, the case challenges Tinubu’s legitimacy and requests his disqualification.

Owuru argues that his own presidential mandate was stolen by former President Buhari, supported by a flawed legal process.

The suit also raises concerns about Tinubu’s alleged involvement in a drug trafficking case, including a forfeiture of $460,000.

Owuru contends this forfeiture and Tinubu’s CIA connections bar him from office.

Additionally, Owuru demands to be declared the rightful president, seeking his immediate inauguration by the Supreme Court.

The case will be heard by the apex court on Monday, December 16.

Tinubu has been served the hearing notice through the Attorney General of the Federation’s office.

Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, is expected to defend Tinubu in the proceedings.

This follows a previous ruling where Owuru was fined N40 million for filing a frivolous suit against Tinubu.

The outcome of this new suit could reshape Nigeria’s political landscape, depending on the court’s decision.
