President Bola Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries across various states in the Federal Civil Service.
This move aims to fill existing vacancies and strengthen the leadership within the federal government.
The appointees were selected based on diligent recommendations by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The new permanent secretaries represent different states and geopolitical zones, ensuring broad regional representation within the civil service.
The list of appointees includes Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu from Abia, Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip from Bayelsa, and Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia from Ebonyi.
Also included are Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam from Enugu, Kalba Danjuma Usman from Gombe, and Usman Salihu Aminu from Kebbi.
Additionally, Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso from Rivers and Nadungu Gagare from Kaduna are part of the new appointees.
This is the second set of permanent secretaries appointed by President Tinubu, following an earlier round of appointments in June.
The president emphasized the importance of dedication, innovation, and diligence in their new roles.

In a statement, Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the new appointees will bring fresh energy and vision.
