The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the invasion of its Oghara secretariat by suspected APC loyalists.
The attackers, allegedly loyal to Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, painted the secretariat with APC colors during the Thursday incident.
This event took place in the Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State, according to PDP officials.
Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, PDP spokesperson, denounced the act as provocative and an attempt to seize the party’s infrastructure.
Okorodudu stated the PDP would pursue legal action to safeguard its assets and reputation.
He further emphasized the condemnation of such desperate tactics and urged members to remain calm in the aftermath.
Okorodudu also criticized Ibori-Suenu’s defection to APC, claiming it was driven by personal ambition, not ideological alignment.
The PDP spokesperson accused Ibori-Suenu of using PDP’s infrastructure to further her APC agenda, damaging the party’s credibility.
He called on security agencies to investigate the invasion, bring perpetrators to justice, and maintain peace in Delta State.
Despite the provocation, the PDP urged members to remain peaceful, focusing on democratic values and principles.
