The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), led by its Chairman, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, visited Jigawa State.
The visit was to offer condolences to Governor Umar Namadi following the tragic deaths of his mother and son.

Governor Namadi’s son, AbdulWahab, died in a motor accident just one day after his mother’s burial.
This heartbreaking loss deeply affected the Governor and the people of Jigawa.
Governor Abdulrazaq was accompanied by Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, during the condolence visit.
The NGF delegation expressed profound grief over the untimely death of AbdulWahab, who was only 24 years old.
Governor Abdulrazaq conveyed the Forum’s solidarity with Governor Namadi and the people of Jigawa.
Earlier, the NGF issued a statement expressing sorrow over the double tragedy that had befallen the Jigawa Governor.
The statement highlighted the suddenness and severity of the losses, especially the young age of AbdulWahab.
The NGF members prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and for strength to the grieving family.
The visit marked a moment of reflection for the governors, who commended Governor Namadi’s resilience despite the immense personal losses.
Both Abdulrazaq and Ododo extended their heartfelt sympathies and pledged continued support during this challenging time.
