The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has announced a limited-time recruitment exercise for three key positions across various qualifications.
The announcement, signed by the Secretary of the NCS Board, opens opportunities for candidates to apply for roles in three distinct cadres. Interested individuals have only seven days to submit their applications, with the deadline set for Thursday, January 2, 2025.
The available positions include:
- Customs Superintendent Cadre – For candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND).
- Customs Inspector Cadre – Open to individuals with National Certificate in Education (NCE) or National Diplomas (ND).
- Customs Assistant Cadre – Available for those with Senior Secondary School Certificates (SSCE).
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications via the official NCS recruitment portal at https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng/apply/. However, with only seven days for applications, prospective candidates may face challenges such as poor internet connectivity or difficulties arising from simultaneous access by large numbers of applicants.
The recruitment exercise aims to strengthen the Nigerian Customs Service’s workforce, enhancing its capacity to carry out critical operations nationwide. NCS officials have emphasized that only completed applications submitted before the deadline will be considered.
Given the tight timeline, candidates are strongly advised to begin the application process early to avoid last-minute issues. The NCS recruitment portal provides clear guidelines to help applicants complete their submissions smoothly.
