CHRISTMAS: Achadu-OkoAttah Igala, Traditional Rulers Visit Kogi Deputy Gov

In a heartwarming Christmas gesture, Achadu-OkoAttah Igala, HRM Alih Yusuf AmehAdaji, and other distinguished traditional rulers visited Kogi’s Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu.

The royal visit, accompanied by notable political figures, aimed to celebrate the festive season and foster unity between the government and traditional institutions.

The visit saw the presence of the former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Friday Sani Makama, and the incumbent, Hon. Major Enefola. The traditional leaders were warmly received by the Deputy Governor, who expressed gratitude for their kind gestures and well-wishes.

During the visit, HRM Alih Yusuf AmehAdaji extended his felicitation to the Deputy Governor on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the status of some long-standing chiefs within the Igala Kingdom. The traditional rulers highlighted the need for their descendants to be given recognition for their contributions.

In response, Deputy Governor Joel Salifu expressed his appreciation for the royal visit. He assured the delegation that their concerns would be brought to the attention of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. Salifu emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the issues raised by the Igala monarch and traditional rulers.

The Deputy Governor’s residence was filled with an air of celebration and unity as the meeting concluded. Both government officials and traditional leaders shared their hopes for a stronger relationship in the coming year. The Christmas gathering marked a significant step in strengthening the bond between the Kogi State government and the Igala community.
