Umahi Pledges Full Support for Nwifuru’s 2027 Re-election

Former Governor of Ebonyi State and Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has pledged his unwavering support for Governor Francis Nwifuru’s re-election bid in 2027.

Umahi made the promise on Friday during a Christmas visit by the Izzi National Youth Forum to his residence in Umunagu Uburu.

He commended the group for the surprise visit, led by Barrister Andrew Chibueze Elom, and acknowledged their gesture.

Umahi stressed that Nwifuru would continue to serve Ebonyi State for a second term, following his own legacy as governor.

The former governor expressed confidence in Nwifuru’s leadership, emphasizing his humility and dedication to the people of Ebonyi.

Umahi noted that even if opposition arose, he would remain steadfast in supporting his successor.

He reflected on his own journey, stating that he had overcome significant challenges and would continue to stand by Nwifuru.

Umahi reiterated that his commitment to Nwifuru’s second term was unwavering, reinforcing his belief in the governor’s potential.

Earlier, the National President of the Izzi National Youth Forum, Barrister Andrew Chibueze Elom, thanked Umahi for his promise to hand over the governorship to an Izzi man.

Elom also urged Umahi to continue guiding Nwifuru to ensure a successful administration, emphasizing the importance of his mentorship.

The visit underscored the deep respect and unity within the Izzi community as they rallied behind Nwifuru’s continued leadership in Ebonyi State.
